ANNADALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — Colin MacDonald scored three goals for Red Hook to pace the Raiders’ boys soccer team to a 4-2 non-league triumph over Kingston on Saturday at Bard College.
Matt Mulkins had Red Hook’s other tally. Andrew Foster and Caden Fitzgerald scored for the Tigers.
Red Hook keeper Austin Litton made five saves, while Kingston’s Caden Hubbell (two saves) and Chris Redding (one) shared the net for the Tigers.
“We finally put some attacking things together and Colin (MacDonald) finished them off,” Red Hook coach Steven Sutton said. “The midfield, led by Giacomo Buitoni, dictated the tempo and did a great job finding seams to help get things going offensively.”
Sutton said the Raiders have “a lot to build from going into the Sectional tournament in a week.”
At Ellenville, John Gatica recorded a hat trick as the Blue Devils downed the Bears in a non-league contest.
Kevin Raiban scored a goal and assisted on two others for Ellenville, 2-11-1 overall. Marcus Lewis-Rivera added a goal and an assist.
Kwaku Boahen scored a goal for the Blue Devils, who also got an assist each from Silas Millas and Stephan Gatica.
Daniel Bashir and Logan Weyant each had a goal for Tri-Valley.
