Ryan Riviezzo and Justin Cardinale each contributed a goal and assist to pace Wolcott in a 4-0 victory over Naugatuck on Wednesday in Wolcott.
Eagles coach Bryan Plona said it’s the program’s first over Naugatuck in at least 16 years and qualifies his team for the Naugatuck Valley League tournament.
Wolcott (7-6-3, 7-5-2) finished the regular season tied with Naugatuck (7-6-2, 7-5-2), St. Paul and idle Torrington for sixth in the league standings.
But one of the four Iron Divison teams will miss the NVL tournament, which begins Saturday.
Genci Seferi and Karol Tawiah each added a goal for the Eagles, who also received an assist from Alex Dias and seven saves from Sam Berninger.

Watertown 1, Holy Cross 0: Jack Giese scored the only goal of the contest, and the Warriors (9-4-3, 9-2-3) jumped up to the No. 3 seed in the NVL with the win.
The Crusaders (11-3-2, 10-2-2) held on to the No. 2 seed despite the loss.
Oxford 4, Seymour 2: Syed Messim notched a goal and an assist, and Noah Kondic made six saves as the Wolverines moved one step closer to an unbeaten regular season.
Matthew Dima, Mergim Morina and Mason Pale also scored for Oxford (15-0), which closes the regular season tonight against Kennedy.
Hudson Santos and Erik Menaj scored for Seymour (9-4-3, 9-3-2), which earned the No. 4 seed in the NVL tournament and will host No. 5 Woodland in the quarterfinals.
WCA 1, Crosby 1: Will Rodriguez scored off an assist from Jayvon Morais as the Spartans (8-6-2) closed the regular season with a draw.
Christopher Ventura scored for the Bulldogs (3-12-1).
